The NBA is finally back this week. That’s great. Unfortunately, that also means that the Atlanta Hawks are back, which is not so great because the Hawks are a complete embarrassment. This offseason the franchise was awash in scandal after both its owner and its GM were caught doing kinda racist things. In case you didn’t hear about any of that and don’t feel like reading anything other than this, the Hawks are essentially your drunk uncle at Thanksgiving.

So, you’d think that Atlanta would try real hard this year to stay away from any awkward racial interactions. Wrong! In an effort to prove to you that the franchise has absolutely no self awareness whatsoever, someone high in the Hawks organization decided to make this extremely uncomfortable promotional video asking fans to come out to the season opener.

Brilliant work, Hawks upper management. I bet that after seeing this and cringing as much as humanly possible, everyone will run out and buy Hawks tickets now.
