Do you ever wonder how they test crazy amusement park rides before they open them to the public? Well, here’s part of the answer.
At Schlitterbahn, a Kansas City water park, they’ve been working on a ridiculous 17-story water slide called Verrückt for quite some time. The slide was first tested with sandbags in the rafts, but those poor sandbags were launched into the air at the end of the ride. So, the ride’s designers modified the slide and then felt that it was safe enough that they could test the slide themselves. They clearly don’t value their lives enough.
