We’ve known for a while now that local news is incredible in the United States. When it’s on (and by “on” we mean “goes horribly wrong”), it is really just the best thing there is.
But what we didn’t know — and we’re not sure why we hadn’t realized this — is that local news might be just as magical in foreign countries as well. And, oh, this discovery is bringing us so much joy. We hope that you find this clip of a Dutch reporter interviewing the mayor of Kampen as wonderful as we did. Because, even though you know what’s going to happen as soon as the video starts, it doesn’t make it any less great.
